University of Plymouth

The Diving & Marine Centre is the University of Plymouth's unique diver training centre. Situated on Plymouth's historic waterfront we are currently safely supervsing over 5000 dives per year. We are the only training centre in the UK where you can learn to dive professionally as part of your chosen academic pathway.

In addition to diving and diver training we also offer technical support to the University for marine based projects and research activities.

We are the only University that teaches HSE Professional Scuba Course

Instructor Foundation Courses will be starting in March. Please ensure you hold all the prerequisites if you intend to participate.

We will be running a RYA Advanced Powerboat course in late March . If you are interested, please email us at divingcentre@plymouth.ac.uk

We will be offering 5 places on the course. Prerequisites include RYA membership, passing of a skills assessment at DMC and good knowledge of theory. You must be prepared to work hard and be proactive. The cost will be £200.00 and the date TBC.
