Diving as part of your degree

Safety is paramount here - the maximum staff to student ratio is 1:4 in the early pool stages of training and increases to 1:2 in open water. Class sizes are limited to 16. Throughout the course a strong emphasis is placed on underwater observation and assessment by instructors, who provide guidance and feedback. Safety and rescue procedures are taught and regularly assessed throughout the duration of the training course.

Students of our programmes have found work which has been related to diving in places as far afield as Hong Kong; some have even gone on to set up their own diving companies! For the others, their diving course provides essential life skills of communication, organisation, teamwork and experience of regular and long-term commitment.
