Recreational Diving

The recreational diving course offered by the centre leads to the internationally recognised British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) Ocean Diver qualification. Once you have attained this qualification, you are able to dive with others of a similar (or higher) grade anywhere in the world!

The course runs in the evenings, from February up until Easter and is available to students of all disciplines and staff. Training starts during the evenings with theory lectures and practical sessions in a swimming pool, and then completes at Easter with 4 full days at sea.

Once qualified, you can develop your training further with the BSAC, perhaps to become an instructor, or can branch out and diversify your interests into underwater photography, marine wildlife, or advanced diving techniques.

Recreational diving will hopefully be availble soon to staff and students. Watch this space for further information.
