Training in Year 1:

Sea Survival

Our Sea Survival Course is designed to prepare you for the situation in which you might have to abandon ship and take to the liferaft. You will be fully briefed on the procedures and current best advice to enhance your survival chances. The course will start in the class room, but will move to the swimming pool where you have the opportunity to practice inflation, boarding and righting procedures.

You will need clothes to wear whilst in the pool - ideally a full set of oil skins, wellies and under clothes that you would wear whilst sailing. Lifejackets are supplied for the pool work.
